The (Un)Naturalist is a solo journaling RPG in which you take on the role of a scientist exploring and documenting a tropical forest.
As the research expedition progresses you must contextualize increasingly unnatural events. The game concludes when the expedition concludes, naturally or otherwise. Do you dare to proceed boldly into the shifting unknown?
The (Un)Naturalist is a scientific solo journaling game with a spooky twist. Choose the vibe of your adventure – curious and uplifting or ominous – and wander off into the mystery of the jungle, sketchbook and pen in hand, ready to record what you find. Investigate the flora and fauna. Jot down your discoveries and make notes on your theories. As your research expedition progresses deeper into the wild, though, the world becomes stranger. Do those animals look… right? The creatures you encounter are unsettling, behave in unsettling ways. Plants seem alien. Perhaps they are. Threads of meaning begin to knit your experiences together.
Can you maintain your composure? Uphold the scientific method? Or will you succumb to the strangeness around you?
