Gnome is a multiplayer fantasy adventure RPG. Small but mighty (just like a gnome!) this zine contains everything you’ll need to tell the story of the final season of your Gnomish life. Broker deals, go into battle, and face peril against your corrupted brethren – if you want. Rather travel? Explore? Delve for treasure? Sure! You can even rescue animals, heal the ailing, and do magic. Action! Wonder! Mystery! Your adventures unfold a ‘week’ at a time, serialized like episodes of a TV show. You’re very small and the world is very large but anything is possible.
Game is a hack of Nate Treme’s Tunnel Goons, utilizing a straightforward 2d6-against-a-difficulty-score resolution mechanic. Need a little aesthetic inspiration? Watch an episode of David the Gnome or simply vibe on game creator Perplexing Ruins’ evocative fantasy art. While it can be played traditionally, with a referee (GM) and multiple players, Gnome is also incredibly solo-friendly. Play as a solitary wanderer, venturing across the land with their brave fox steed. You’ll use the game’s impressive array of generators, locations, d20 tables, NPCs, and oracles to flesh out your tale.
- 40-page staple-bound zine, color cover
- Requires 3 d6 dice and 1 d20
