Valiant Horizon is a multiplayer heroic fantasy RPG. Welcome to a world where souls are real and return to new bodies again and again. Most souls, because in this place, some souls are so noble they become physical objects – Heroic Crystals – when their bodies die. Bond yourself to a Crystal and become the bearer of its Hero. Train with other bearers, learning together and mastering your powers. Do good deeds. Keep regular folks safe from soul fragments and monstrous, corrupted beasts, and when you’re ready, take on The Empire and its dangerous manmade Crystals.
Game balances crunch and player preference, using the d6-based TOTAL//EFFECT system to manage stats (skills, abilities, items, escalating tension, challenges, goals) while giving players flexibility in their approach to conflict. Game also provides plenty of opportunities for storytelling, character development, and world building. Relationships and Bonds tie you to one another while Reputation tracks your in-world standing. You can even commune with the soul inside your Hero’s Crystal to learn lessons from the past.
