My work begins with techniques borrowed from mystics, magicians, occultists, and surreal artists. These include automatic drawing, asemic writing, scrying, sigils, and more. The process begins the same in both traditional and digital media, and I often wander between media as shapes and ideas bubble up from the subconscious.
The Wormsong Oracle is a completely unique 60-card cartomancy deck in which fantasy magic and spirituality harmoniously intertwine. Sphinxes lounge and ponder while ribbons of angels wind through the air. Uncover journeys, celebrations, and ceremonies. Witness the lives of deities, mischievous goblins, and common folk alike.
We’ll be honest: Knave of Cups is, collectively, real dorky for the art of Helvetica Blanc. The vibes! The flow! The characters and creatures, the world building! Oh, and the written script? It’s translatable language. Puzzles, little guys, and lore? Be still our hearts.
Adhering loosely to a tarot structure, this deck includes 30 Major Arcana, 21 Minor Arcana, and 9 Persona, as well as 3 suits – Hands, Eyes, and Wings. Use the symbolism of the Wormsong any way you like – as a divination tool, as iconography to aid in self-understanding, or – our favorite – as an alternative for a TTRPG generator table. Character backgrounds, NPC creation, locations, plot twists, history – you name it, there’s imagery in this deck to guide you.
