Description

My name is Dr. Nicholas Moreau and this book will serve as the record of my extraordinary research into using gene therapy to combine human and animal DNA. Be it for therapeutic, aesthetic, or purely exploratory purposes, I seek to push the boundaries of science past its feeble limitations

To achieve this goal, I have acquired a private island and hand picked a variety of human test subjects who will be the first to benefit from my genius. Mine is the hand that heals, mine is the hand that wounds. And there will be no escape from my island.

Okay, y’all! Show of hands (or paws, or hooves, etc): who witnessed the human-animal hybrids from The Island of Dr. Moreau and thought hell yes?

Hey, no judgement. We’re all about proudly scratching our imagination-itches. Furries: this one’s for you. Nostalgic for the days of forum roleplay? This one’s for you, too! What about people who yearn for reality TV-style island hookups? YES! THIS GAME’S FOR YOU, TOO! How can this be? Because among all the iterations of The Island of Dr. Moreau, this Island of Dr. Moreau is a story-driven TTRPG. This Island of Dr. Moreau is an anthro love letter to you from the creator of To Change.

Action revolves around cooperative, asymmetric storytelling. Choose your paths through the overarching plot. Tarot draws drive gameplay, unfolding events, resolving actions, and influencing characters. As the deck dwindles, choices become harder. Gamebook includes 50 characters (in both ‘scientist’ and ‘islander’ camps), 20+ events (with branching side-plots), guidelines for making your own character, a detailed island map, and a ‘GM’ role (Dr. Moreau) who can be absorbed into co-op play. Transformation illustrations are detailed and plentiful. Also includes digital-only content like a custom soundtrack, stat blocks for alternate systems, and more.

Yes, this Island of Dr. Moreau is the winner. No sketchy race or gender stuff! Instead, you get a millennium-flavored, bio-horror animal transformation game with its own character romance chart. Wait, really? Yes, the shipping is built-in! Welcome home, you fabulous beasts.
