Inspired by modern shows like She-Ra (and the magical girl genre at large,) the Excellents is a game where you all play as gender-inclusive princesses, you get a cool sword, you get cool shoes, and then you go kick some evil butt and defend Awesome World from jerks! Light-hearted and to the point, The Excellents is fun romp against the forces of cartoon evil.
The Excellents is built around the Polymorph System, a mathless, all-ages framework. Each player chooses a role and each role resolves conflict using only one polyhedral die: a d4, a d6, a d8, or a d10. Yup! Just one die per person! This game also part of the Awesome World trilogy of games, where each game takes inspiration from a different sub-genre of kids’ animation, and characters from each game can cross-over and play together!
