Description
Barclay Shaw is an American professional artist best known for his fantasy and science fiction artwork featured on magazine and book covers. Shaw credits author Harlan Ellison for giving him his start in the business when he invited Shaw to paint cover illustrations for 16 paperback editions of Ellison’s books, including perhaps most memorably the cover for I Have No Mouth, And I Must Scream, which would later be re-used as cover art for the video game adaptation. Shaw’s style is peak 80’s and 90’s airbrushed commercial art: detailed, photorealistic, strangely chemical, and all extremely weird.
