Squirrel or Die is a two-phase, tile-based memory game in which competing squirrels hide food, then find it again to eat it. In Autumn, players reveal tiles one by one and “hide” what they find by creating a face-down grid of boring ol’ grass. Then, in Winter, players must flip tiles one by one, each attempting to eat food, avoid traps (and death), and claim the title of Best Squirrel.
Games take 20 minutes or less. This, plus simple components and a portable format means Squirrel or Die can go with you anywhere. Game bar? Sure. Travel? Heck yeah. Killing time at the DMV? Well, you do need a partner and a flat surface but yeah, alright, knock yourself out. Game includes 28 full-color, double-sided tiles and instructions in a square tuck box.
