Description
Mall Kids is a simple, GM-less, d6-based collaborative storytelling game by Matthew Gravelyn (and friends) that chronicles the shenanigans you get up to if you’re a teen working in a mall. Will you channel your restless energy into a secret art project made of condiments you’ve been slipping out of the food court? Finally overcome the great jock/goth divide and ask out that cool kid you keep running into on break? Foil your manager’s ridiculous plan to make everyone wear hideous new name tags? Shenanigans await!
With illustrations from Kaitlin Bruder, this zine includes rules for character generation, scenarios and adventure hooks, and seven malls to explore from various authors.
Via creator Matthew Gravelyn:
You won’t be fighting monsters (probably) or saving captured royalty (most likely) but you will be interacting with your friends to collaboratively tell a story about how rebellious teens deal with the brute force of consumer-based capitalism.
