You are a mecha pilot. You have piloted your humanoid machine across the surface of the earth, through the void of space, and among the shattered hulls of space colonies. You have fought a war that has seen cities consumed by fire, fleets of ships struck down by energy weapons, and mecha immolated by their own stricken reactors. You have survived all the way to today, the last battle of the war, waged in the void. Now, your survival is more uncertain than it has ever been.
The battle is over. You’re stranded in space, trapped in your once-deadly war machine. With your life support failing, can you keep your mech working long enough to be rescued? Lost Among the Starlit Wreckage is a sci-fi solo journaling game with a playing card twist. Before you begin to call for help, you’ll use your deck of cards to set up a ‘diagnostic board’ for your mech. Then, as you send what may be your final words into the void, you’ll use the cards you draw to hastily fix as many of those blinking lights as you can. There are many systems in need of (life-saving) repair. Can you keep your oxygen flowing? Or will your musings on life, death, war, and regret be the only parts of you that survive?
Play Lost Among The Starlit Wreckage solo, as a pilot lost in the vastness of space, or use the included duet rules, adding a would-be rescuer, a caring, but fading, voice on the other end of the line.
