Description
Iron Gods is back in print with an all-new, oversized, Muscle-Mag edition, presented as an 80s-era body-building magazine
You know you’re in for a conceptual treat when a Liminal Horror module creator specifies:
NOTE: This is an actual tabletop roleplaying gameāNOT AN EXERCISE MANUAL.
In fact:
Iron Gods is a body horror dungeon crawl set in a neon-soaked 1980s bodybuilding world. Think professional wrestling meets Cthulhu mythos, or Body Snatchers set in Pumping Iron.
Something is afoot at Tommy’s Shred Shack, your beloved gym, and you’re beginning to suspect the manager’s home-brewed miracle drug – the Juice – is to blame. Descend into the depths to confront The Muscle Mass, an eldritch meat god manipulating your friends toward the the MUSCLE-POCALYPSE, but beware – your body will morph and warp… and not in the “sweet gains” kinda way.
Iron Gods is a single-location one-shot. It contains a variety of tables to create your body builders – their favorite lifts, their favorite body part, their lifting philosophy – as well as plenty of jacked-up monsters to battle. Will you use the Juice yourself? Mutate in order to fight the ever-growing Mass? Iron Gods also includes a custom Doom Clock in the form of The Ritual Progression, power The Muscle Mass saps from the lifting of its dedicated, mutated progeny. Defeat the meat, save the world!
