Description
Some say magic was discovered after the Apollo 11 mission returned with moon rocks. Others say it’s the reason we went to the moon in the first place.
Ghost Roads & Moon Dust is a quick solo sci-fi/fantasy heist game. In brief: the moon is magic. Moon dust lets humans do magic, so rich people hoard it. Magnus Trench, the richest man on Earth, accidentally blew up the moon when he tried to make a portal to it (because he’s bad at a magic and he sucks as a person).
You – a ragtag nobody – are going to steal his stash. How? By using your meager magic to traverse extra-dimensional ghost roads. Familiar roads, like the path you carved through a childhood playground. Strange roads, like a caravan route erased by shifting sands. Can you navigate this mystical space-outside-space, maneuver beneath Trench’s vault, and take him for all he’s worth?
Game plays in about 30 minutes. Story, rules, event tables, and concluding directions are all contained on one letter-sized page, printed front and back and folded into a unique, origami-inspired, accordion-style zine.
- Requires three d6 dice and something to write with
- 6.75″ x 4.25″ zine with internal folded triangular sections instead of pages
