Description
Frank Frazetta was a master speculative artist who helped shape the entire pop culture perception of fantasy and sci fi art. His depictions of Conan the Barbarian and John Carter of Mars remain iconic and immediately recognizable to this day, as well as several paintings used on heavy metal album covers. Frazetta’s work is often mythic in scale and dreamlike in its vision. Every person who ever painted a wizard on the side of a van dreamed of being able to paint like this guy. These images will immediately call to mind the scent of bong smoke and the sound of vicious guitar licks.
