For the Queen is a card-driven collaborative storytelling game that invites you to tell a dramatic narrative about a Queen’s journey with you, her companions. What will you learn about her (and yourself) along the way? And in the end, will you stand for or against her?
Your Queen requests your presence! Queens, however, are found across a multitude of worlds, so choose your matriarch from 25 evocative, genre-spanning illustrations. Go classic and pledge your loyalty to a historic figure or a fantasy ruler, like a regal angel, a mercurial fairy, or a glittering mermaid. Change it up with unconventional royalty – modern business moguls, futuristic hackers, and sci-fi supercomputers. Your story unfolds as you play, answering prompts about your Queen’s traits, opinions, and history as well as your involvement in her reign – for better or for worse. Was she haughty or kind? Who are her enemies? What have you done in her name?
Ultimately, what you reveal will seal your Queen’s fate.
For The Queen is a card-based, role-playing, storytelling game. The 2024 Edition is the game’s second run, and includes a complete visual re-design, new questions, and tarot-inspired Queens from 25 artists, as well as folklore-themed packaging with an embedded ribbon for easy card removal.
