DONUTS, which was first playable as INSERT, is an abstract strategy game for two players in which you attempt align five rings of your color to win.
Donuts is a pastry-themed strategy game for two. Claim a donut flavor (chocolate or vanilla), grab a pal, and take turns placing your pieces. Each square on the game board has a pre-marked direction in which your opponent must place their donut, either diagonally or horizontally. Five donuts is a row is a win! Could you achieve this coincidentally? Statistically maybe, but you’re more likely to get there by winding your way around the board, finding empty spaces between your opponent’s donuts and plunking one of your own down (this converts theirs to yours).
Sturdy wooden donuts and small box size make this a great portable game, plus board configurations are ever-changing thanks to four double-sided, rotatable 3×3 grids.
