Description
With these games, write, draw, connect, and black out parts of the book to make something new with them.
All you need is a pen or a pencil and a book.
The Bookmark microRPG Collection is composed of five literary solo+ adventures. All may be small in size but each game is the length of an entire book. How so?
Backbone of Beasts (for 2+) – use blackout poetry to build fantastic creatures from the text, leaving a menagerie filled with ink and beasts
Waylaid Travelers (duet) – tell a travel story through circled words that describe a destination, then connect the words to make a map
The Watcher (solo) – turn any novel into a horror story when you appear in every scene, unsettling the characters as you silently watch the action unfold
Reader’s Note (duet) –Â leave thoughts, jokes, musings, etc in the margins during your read specifically meant for the second player to encounter on their turn
Words Unsaid (solo) – a reality-altering editing game for a book you hate, in which you can re-write the characters (who they are, what they think, what they say) until the plot is unraveling just for you
Pick a game, a pen, and a book you don’t mind annotating. Don’t wanna write in a book you own and (presumably) like? Hit up the thrift store! Pick something specifically for play. You can write in THAT, we promise.
- Includes five full-color, dual-sided card stock bookmarks
- Note: all games require player(s) to mark/draw/write inside the book in play
