The BBQ’s hot, and it’s time to prep the food for cooking, but don’t spill on the grill or everyone will go hungry!
Barbecubes is a multiplayer dexterity game in which players take turns filling a grill with food. Your grill? The game’s storage tin, now outfitted with a tiny wooden cooking grate. The food in question? Miniature wooden steaks, burgers, hot dogs, fish, bacon, and chicken, all colorful and charmingly retro-pixelated. Cubes, you see. Barbecubes, because this game is the sequel to Tinderblox.
Game is ultra-portable and perfect for travel (as well as hanging with pals at your favorite game bar). So settle in! Set up the ol’ barbecue, draw a card, and use the mini tongs to add the pictured item. Make sure your food covers the correct number of grill grate lines (and there IS a correct number), but don’t drop anything into the fire! Huge party foul. Wasteful, rude. And if you do it too many times, you’ll lose!
