Description
Welcome to High Rannoc!
If you’re reading this, I’m probably missing…or dead. Let’s hope just missing.
I wish I could be there to explain all this in person, but life takes unexpected paths.
Hopefully this journal will be enough to guide you.
Apothecaria is a solo journalling RPG in which you take the role of a village witch creating potions for the unfortunate villagers, adventurers, and monsters that come to you for help. The potions you create and the stories that unfold come together to create a beautiful journal that is unique and personal to you.
Fill pages with drawings of ingredients, stories of run-ins with thieving fairies and sleeping giants, and recipes for the potions you have created to keep you right in the future.
Apothecaria is chill-but-crunchy solo game by Anna Blackwell about being a cool witch who helps heal folks’ magical illnesses by collecting alchemical ingredients and mixing them into potions and poultices. It’s a combat-less game inspired by Studio Ghibli films and Stardew Valley. Unlike many similarly laid-back games, Apothecaria is chock-full of mechanics. There are 4 levels of ailments to cure, tools and upgrades to be purchased, 9 locations to be explored, rules for familiars, rules for seasons and festivals, and four levels of mystery to uncover.
If you’re looking for a self-contained solo experience in a fantasy setting with loads of content to dig into, Apothecaria is for you.
