Description
You are a Scientist.
They tried to tell you to stop playing God. You replied, “Who’s playing?” and spliced in another gene. What is an Abomination?
A living amalgamation of various forms of flesh, machinery, and whatever you can stick it together with. Some slimy, some hairy, some are covered in eyes. Others are a knot of tongues and fingers. An Abomination is whatever you can imagine it to be, tossed in a blender and put back together.
ABOMINATIONS is a multiplayer creature-fight that’s part Pokémon and part 1962 B-movie classic The Brain That Wouldn’t Die. Gather your pals and become immoral, gene-splicing doctors! Imbue life into horrible little homunculi, then pit your creations against one another until only one is left standing. Goofy? Of course. Quick to learn and play? Oh yeah, as easy as straightforward three-phase combat. Good for (weirdo-centric) social gatherings? Well, we did select the following keywords to tag this game: psychedelic, sci-fi, horror, comedy.
ABOMINATIONS revolves around a unique Scrabble-stats mechanic in which each creation’s “genes” are represented by letter tiles. Game includes 26 genes (with alphabetically-corresponding powers), 6 doctor types (each with their own ULTIMATE GENE ABILITY), and a d10-based offense/defense system. Wanna be inspired by pictures of weird little guys? You’re in luck! ABOMINATIONS comes illustrated with plenty of hand-drawn monstrosities as well.
- For 2-6 players (no GM required)
- Requires a set of letter tiles from a Scrabble game and d10 dice for play
